Dr. Donald H. Bohne, DDS
“There have been many changes in dentistry since I began. Most of it has resulted in better materials and techniques. I have enjoyed doing implants since 2005. I have eleven implants and can really appreciate their value.
As you can see by the photos we have provided, our office does a lot of cosmetic dentistry. This is enjoyable and rewarding when the patient looks at their new teeth in the mirror and breaks out in a beautiful new smile. I am thankful we have the ability and skill to provide this for our patients.”
Dr. Bohne graduated from the University of Georgia with a degree in chemistry before continuing his studies at Emory University School of Dentistry, where he graduated in 1969. He has practiced in Tucker, Georgia since and continues his dental education with monthly training and courses. He has advanced training in dental implants through the Medical College of Georgia. As a dentist his goal is to enjoy his work, his patients and his staff. He is a member of multiple professional organizations, including:
- The American Dental Association
- Metropolitan Atlanta Study Group
- Northern District Dental Society
- American Academy of Implant Dentistry
Dr. Bohne and his wife of 51 years, Ann, have one daughter, Paige, and a granddaughter, Katie. He enjoys riding his John Deere Tractor on their farm in Royston, Georgia.

Chris McKenzie, Office Manager
Chris was born and raised in Tucker, GA, and graduated from Tucker High School. She attended the Occupational Education Campus to study Dental Assisting. She joined our practice in March, 1982 as a dental assistant, and is currently our office manager. Chris helps our patients understand their treatments, dental insurance, and financial options, and keeps everything running smoothly for the rest of the team. Her favorite part of working at our office is getting to know our patients and their families, and working with a team that is like a family.
Chris and her husband, Craig, have a 17-year-old son, Blake. She enjoys reading, sports, and spending time with her family at Lake Hartwell.
Susan Smith, Dental Assistant
Susan is originally from West Virginia. She graduated from Stone Mountain High School in 1991. When she began working at the front desk in a dental office, she realized that she wanted to be a bigger part of patients’ smiles. She joined our practice in December, 1996, and began training and taking dental assisting classes. Her favorite part about working with us is that we work as a team – a family – and are dedicated to helping patients learn about the procedures they need. She wants patients to know that they can trust us, provide relief for dental problems, and feel confident in their smiles. She enjoys getting to know our patients, watching them with their families, and watching them grow up.
Susan married Ohio native Jamie Smith on the beach in Jamaica, July, 2015. She loves swimming, 4-wheeling, horses, softball, volleyball, working out at the gym, and the outdoors. She and her husband love to take their 4-wheelers out and play in the mud. They love college football, and if she isn’t watching W.V.U., she’s watching the Georgia Bulldogs or Ohio State Buckeyes.
Margaret Pryor, Registered Dental Hygienist
Margaret is originally from North Carolina. She attended UNC-Chapel Hill, graduating with a B.S. in biology in 1993. In 1997 she earned a B.S. in dental hygiene. She practiced dental hygiene in North Carolina for 17 years before she relocated to the Atlanta area with her family. Margaret joined our team in February, 2015. She enjoys that we are a small team that works well together to make our patients feel at ease about procedures. She says, “We are a true family practice and see kids, parents, and grandparents.” Margaret sees our patients regularly for dental cleanings, and truly get to know them, building trust as their relationship develops. She provides education about dental procedures and recommends dental hygiene products that would be beneficial for their oral health.
Margaret and her husband, Jim, have been married since 1994. She has a 14-year-old daughter, Lilah, a 16-year-old son, Campbell, and a dog, Callie. She enjoys scrapbooking, reading, watching her kids play baseball, and cheering at football games.
